Sweetwater Pool & Spa Center has been in business since 1976. We are locally owned and operated and are members of APSP, the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals. We are also a member of BioGuard Platinum.

With one of the area’s largest inventories of pool products and spa accessories, Sweetwater Pool & Spa Center has two convenient locations to serve you in Catonsville, Maryland.

Our Story

Dave Divelbliss entered the pool and spa industry in 1968 when he began working for a local pool builder and commercial management company as Vice President and General Manager. The company became a BioGuard dealer in 1969 in an effort to provide a comprehensive chemical program for the residential customer, and that’s when Dave realized the need for a reliable pool retail and service center – and set his sights on opening his own store.

In 1976 Dave and his wife Edna purchased the retail and service business from the previous owner. Along with Craig Martin, General Manager, they opened the first Sweetwater Pool & Spa Center in Owings Mills. Dave and Edna’s children Carole, Connie and Chuck joined the business in the ’80s, and currently serve as President, Vice President, and Service Manager respectively.

Thanks to our loyal customer base, we were able to open our current location in Catonsville in 1991 to better serve Baltimore and the surrounding areas.
